LAZISE

The small town is situated in the widest point of the Lake and it is almost completely surrounded by medieval walls and has a particular atmosphere. The historic old town centre can be reached via gates. During the Venetian Empire, Lazise was an important trading place. Today you can admire alongside modern yachts in the harbour right in the middle of town. Lazise territory includes the coastal area of the lakeside and a vast internal area made up of morainic hills that gently slope towards the lake, among olive grooves and vineyards dotted with rows of cypresses.

THEME PARKS
A wide number of excellent themeparks are tucked away between Lazise and Peschiera on the South East shore of the Lake. These are:Gardaland, which is Italy's largest themepark ,Movieland Studios Park, which is a combination of rides, shows and stunts, Caneva World and Waterland, which are very nice waterparks. Not a themepark as such, but there is also an excellent Zoo at Pastrengo, which is a combination of a safari drive and a traditional zoo, except that some of the smaller animals are allowed to run free in the park. All are close to each other next to the town of Lazise. Jungle Adventure Park is also worth visiting.
